About our client

 Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm providing full design, engineering and consultancy services to the Oil & Gas, Renewables/Offshore Wind and Leisure market.

They design and engineer complete platforms and infrastructure for the oil & gas and renewables/offshore wind industry, deck lay outs, cable & pipe laying solutions for marine environment, great observation wheels and much more!

What will you do as a Senior Process Engineer?

In the role of Structural Design Engineer you are responsible for the design and integration of structural components within our offshore structures.

You will invent, select, specify and develop, in the concept, basic and detail design phase, structural components & systems typically found in the fixed offshore structure in (a.o.) windfarms and in the installation equipment therefore. You will work on the integration of structural components such as pile guiding tools, pile upending tools, foundation pile grippers, levelling tools, grout seals, jacking and skidding systems, locking systems, hydraulic cylinders, shafts, bearings etc.

You will translate the functional requirements of structural systems (moving, rotating, fixing, locking etc) into a practical design, perform and specify the sizing thereof, communicate with suppliers & customers on the product selection and work together with our engineers for the integration into the designs

You will be performing the necessary design analyses and studies with accompanying reports to ensure suitability of the chosen structural solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Structural or Structural Engineering;
  • 8+ years’ experience in relevant discipline and market;
  • 6+ years’ experience in similar position;
  • Specialist in own discipline and basic knowledge exceeding own discipline;
  • Experience with FEM modeling of loads and structural elements;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent structural and technical skills;
  • Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software.(Autocad/Solidworks);
  • Good knowledge of English and preferably also Dutch (both written and verbal);
  • Entitled to work in the Netherlands.
