About our client
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm providing full design, engineering and consultancy services to the Oil & Gas, Renewables/Offshore Wind and Leisure market.
They design and engineer complete platforms and infrastructure for the oil & gas and renewables/offshore wind industry, deck lay outs, cable & pipe laying solutions for marine environment.
The job
As Head of Product Line, you are responsible for leading your product line with a clear strategic vision and strong team management. You set and execute the mid- and long-term strategy, oversee annual plans and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This senior leadership position requires you to connect strategy with execution, aligning customers and their needs, market developments, and organisational goals to deliver profitable growth. This role represents the organisation in the network, helping boost its visibility and reputation, while also taking care of the commercial side of the Product Line.
Your focus will be on strategy, outlook, project results, continuous improvement (reducing failure costs), and driving both customer and employee satisfaction.
You will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, providing clear direction to your team of consultants and project managers. By fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, you will raise performance and efficiency.
You will monitor project and product line performance, proactively manage risks, and implement improvements to reduce failure costs and strengthen results. You will engage with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and high satisfaction levels that lead to repeat business.
As a leader, you will coach and develop your team, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure succession planning, creating a motivated, capable, and future-ready workforce.

Which personality fits this position?
You are a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who turns vision into results. You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and have a proven track record in senior management, ideally in engineering, energy, or related sectors.
You combine business acumen with strong analytical skills and have a drive for continuous improvement. You inspire and guide your team, build strong client relationships, and ensure that customer needs are met while maximising results for our client.
What else is required for the job?
Our client considers it important for this position that you bring the following:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant market (e.g. offshore, energy, maritime)
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or business management role
• Strong understanding of product development and commercial strategy
• Experience working across disciplines such as R&D, sales, and marketing
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); Dutch is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

They have a flexible Work From Home (WFH) arrangement where we offer our employees a 50/50 WFH possibility. The department where you will be working consists of 30 Structural Designers and Engineers.
