Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm providing full design, engineering and consultancy services to the Oil & Gas, Renewables/Offshore Wind and Leisure market.
They design and engineer complete platforms and infrastructure for the oil & gas and renewables/offshore wind industry, deck lay outs, cable & pipe laying solutions for marine environment, great observation wheels and much more!
Your responsibility starts at the beginning of a project, where you give input for the design basis and design brief and prepare your team for the structural work and inform them about planning.
During the projects you will be involved in various engineering tasks and responsible for generating concept, basic and detail designs for the primary steel of various windturbine foundations such as jackets, tripods, gravity base foundations & monopiles.
You and the team will be designing, performing the necessary design analyses and studies with accompanying reports. Performing independently complex global in-place analyses, fatigue analyses, natural frequency analyses, Wind Turbine Generator Integrated Load analyses, foundation (pile) design analyses of fixed offshore turbine foundations.
You are able to perform independently global analyses for load-out, transport, lift, on-bottom stability, push over/redundancy and vessel impact conditions as well as the detailed verifications of welds, grout connections, wave slamming, vortex induced vibrations etc. of the substructures.
You will also be coaching other engineers and on behalf of the company you will be monitoring and discussing the progress with the project manager and with the client on occasion.
